5:27am

I feel somewhat remiss for not talking about that photo I used in Yoga Journey #20. That is Willows Beach here in Victoria on Monday June 28th at 5:27am. The temperature gage in my car said it was in the high twenties (Celsius). We smashed a record that day as the hottest day ever here in Victoria (which is a whole other story).

As I walked down the street to the beach it was quiet and warm. The street dead ends at the south end of this east facing beach. There are house’s on both sides of this quiet perpendicular street all the way up to the beach. As the street ended I walked onto the beach and that photo is exactly what I saw.

After I took the photo I just soaked in the vibe and surveyed my surroundings. There were less people than I expected, only a couple, but I noticed a lady in front to my right. She was on the beach cross legged, her back against a log, just observing and soaking up all the power of the sun rising in front of her.

The scene as I compose it does not convey the incredible quiet embracing power, and the grace of this unfolding informational download. It was so warm, peaceful, colourful, and calming, I was transfixed in the moment.

I had come here to practice but that became redundant and I ended up just going through the motions.
