New Moon July 5, 2024

It’s been a long while since I last mooned ya
I’ll spare you the sight ‘cause today no asana
New Moon’s we rest we stay off the mat
If you often practice you’re happy ‘bout that

This side of me not seen for a while
Mooning a break it may make you smile
Moon is new but mine is not
I’ll keep it though it’s all that I got

The rest for me I’ll take the Moon
It lasts for a day, it ends too soon
Mooning, it is great for me
Surely something you don’t want to see

It started with full Moon, Wolf was its name
I howled away and Wolf did the same
I did not start with a Moon that is new
These rhymes will finish, this last ones for you

A years worth of Moons I’ve rhymed about
This is the last one my rhymes have run out
When I started I did not think
Rhymes would bring me to this brink

But I am done I will do no more
I have done a whole year which is twenty four
I’ll say this the last time, you must be so tired
On this new Moon day, rest is required

Love

This last new Moon of twenty twenty two
I’m not going to say it you know what to do
An embarrassment of gifts and food is ahead
Happens in two days which sometimes I dread

I think about others not so fortunate
I wish I could fix so I’ll just concentrate
I’ll wave my hand over this big blue sphere
And say all is good there is nothing to fear

But life is a lesson I’m trying to discern
There’s evil out there that’s not easy to learn
But as we go deeper we find our resolve
The difference is real there’s no way to solve

This may sound dark and hard to hear
But this is a story of life that is near
Please hold my hand and walk with me
We belong together, just wait and see

And I know, this will never be
Life’s in the way, it’s too hard to see
But if that specter does go away
That is where, I want to stay

And faith is okay but not part of my spiel
How would I know that’s sorta the deal
But if love were held in all of our heart
We’d be one in this world, how’s that for a start

It’s that time of year we may do a review
Your goals accomplished and those you did not
We’re still moving forward in case you forgot

The Long Cold Night Moon is also its name
On those cold nights it’s time to proclaim
Your goals for the year they’re there to be made
Be love, be adventurous, be not afraid

Forgiveness Moon I’ve decided to call
The past is over and it’s oh so small
Fill your heart with love please show us the way
It starts with you, let’s try it this day

This last full Moon there’s time to reflect
Look aft and fore, don’t be circumspect
This coming year fill your heart with joy
And rest on this day which I know you’ll employ

As a new Moon I can not be seen
In this phase I am in between
But soon I’ll be on the other side
Where I will not be able to hide

This phase wants you to look within
There’s more inside it’s time to begin
But while I hide I can influence you
To do what’s needed for you know who

As you know you should be aware
This Moon’s power it will get you there
To begin is powerful around this time

This Moon of November we are already there
First Frost Moon, beavers they do prepare
An eclipse is present the last one this year
It may appear red but there’s no need for fear

Hunters go out there to take advantage

Autumnal equinox we have recently passed
Preparing for winter a job that is vast
And as we look up into the sky
Get ready, it’s coming, winter’s nearby

But not to worry you’ve taken the steps
To fill the stores to last what’s next
And so the work that has been done
You need to rest, it has begun

I am new Moon please listen to me
I’m hiding away so I can be free
Every month I do take this time
As I am resting, I chose not to shine

The reason for that is to keep my strength
Do the same and stay on this wavelength
Although I’m new I am also wise
I’ve been around, many times do I rise

Take it easy do what you should do
Remember that life is about you too

Harvest full Moon it’s a ray of light
Farmers use it to work late at night
It’s harvest time they reap what they sow
They work underneath this Moon’s bright glow

It goes like this; on this harvest Moon
I’d love to dance with the one I love
This song’s perfect under what is above

On a warm late summers eve underneath it’s glow
Wouldn’t it be awesome for us all to know
To dance, to love, is all we really need
This romantic mindset I think you believe

I’ve gone on a tangent I love that song
It embodies to me of a love so long
Feel it, be it, take that big chance
Just let it in, you bet it’s romance
